Earl Barnes’ “Figure-it-Out” Life Led to Solutions with No Limits

Firefighter, scuba diver, mountain bike rider, coach, father, and lower limb amputee are all ways to describe Earl Barnes. A motorcycle accident led to Earl to losing his right leg early in his firefighter career but questioning and using the mind set of “figure-it-out,” Earl went on to have a long career as a firefighter and recently retired. Today he spends his time with his family and volunteering. In the years since the accident, Earl has used the Knit-Rite prosthetic socks in all stages of his journey to support his active lifestyle. And a special thank you to the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium.
