I am 83 and have had drop foot for over 15 years as a result of too many back surgeries. So, I was interested when I heard about the Thuasne SpryStep AFO. I am always looking for a better brace and currently have four AFO’s, all from different manufacturers, ranging in price from $75 to $750. I now have a SpryStep and it is my new favorite. The high-tech material makes it light weight and comfortable which is important to me as opposed to plastic in some of the other braces that I own. Somehow, they use a minimal amount of material and twist it around so there is a torsion spring to it that simulates a more natural gait in my walk. I don’t limp as much and the foot doesn’t drop.
